Furnished rooms for students - useful internet sites

The internet is full of housing services and by doing a search on Copenhagen and housing related words; you will get a number of hits. While there are many good and useful sites, we also advice you to show caution particularly if the sites demand substantial fees for their services.

One you may want to try out is www.findroommate.dk. The site is only available in Danish, but may be useful if you use UCPH's dictionary.

"Housing Anywhere"

www.housinganywhere.com is a startup founded by a group of students from the Rotterdam School of Management. It provides a housing platform where students that go abroad for an exchange semester or internship can sublet their rooms and incoming exchange students that come to your city can rent those rooms.

Incoming student
As a student from Copenhagen University you can find student accommodation on www.housinganywhere.com. Through this student housing platform students of the University of Copenhagen who participate in an exchange program have, amongst others, the possibility to offer their rooms or flats in Copenhagen during their absence. Besides, it
allows you to offer your room to foreign students in your home city. As an exchange student your search for housing possibilities in Copenhagen on this website is for free. Only in case of an actual booking of a room or a flat, an administrative charge has to be paid to Housing Anywhere.

Outgoing student
As a student of Copenhagen University you can use the service www.housinganywhere.com. for free.  Before leaving for your exchange rent out your room to an incoming exchange students using this platform. You will avoid paying double rent and make sure that you will get back your room when you return. In order to use the service you will have to use your student email address. Make sure that you have the permission from your landlord to sublet your rom. Since Housing Anywhere is an international student housing platform you can also book your room using the Secure Booking Service before arriving to your exchange destination.

CasaSwap.com is a part of HousingAnywhere.com. HousingAnywhere.com is free to join - only in case of an actual booking of a room or a flat, an administrative charge has to be paid to Housing Anywhere.

The Blue Newspaper (Den Blå Avis) online carries adds on a range of things including rooms and flats for rent. The site is only available in Danish, but may be useful if you use UCPH's dictionary. You pay a small fee to log on to the Blue Newspaper adds.

www.boligportal.dk and www.lejebolig.dk are two of the largest online housing portals in Denmark. Here you'll find furnished, unfurnished, short term and long term housing in all of Denmark. The site administrators do their best to keep scammers off the site, but there is no guarantee that all adds are reliable, so PLEASE BE CAUTIOUS and use your common sense! If something sounds too good to be true it probably is!
