Hall of Residence; Bikuben Kollegiet

The hall of residence Bikuben Kollegiet was ready for the first students to move in at the end of August 2006. The artist Viera Collaro has created a very exciting light installation for the lobby of the hall. This hall of residence represents architectural innovation and a modern approach to building. Bikuben Kollegiet is located in Amager, an upcoming area with several new student halls and the Amager Campus of University of Copenhagen. You are close to both the inner city and the wonderful new Amager beach with a view to Sweden.

Deciding whether Bikuben is right for you
Bikuben Kollegiet is a good option for the independent student who wants to have much privacy while still being in close proximity to other students. This housing option requires more of you in terms of getting in contact with other students, than if you stay in a residence with closer common space, e.g. a shared apartment.

As a point of departure Bikuben Kollegiet is for the student who prioritizes her or his education above partying. Naturally, parties are organized at the kollegium on weekends, but during the week it is expected of you that you contribute to a calm study environment for everyone living at Bikuben.

Important: It is expected of you to take an active participation in the social life at Bikuben Kollegiet together with the other residents, thus upholding the core values of Bikuben Kollegiet which evolve around a strong sense of community, participation and social interaction between the students. This could include participation in various committees, the organizing of events/parties etc.

If you book a room at Bikuben you can’t make a shortening offer (because Bikuben doesn’t provide housing for short terms)
