Deciding whether Tåsingegade kollegiet is right for you
Tåsingegade Kollegiet is reserved for students.

Tåsingegade Kollegiet is a good option for the independent student who wants to have much privacy while still being in close proximity to other students, and who wants to live in one of the mundane areas.
The shared rooms are ideal for the student who wants to keep a low budget and who doesnt have a problem living very closely with a roommate.

Here is a student produced video of what it's like to live at Tåsingegade kollegiet:

Please note that our various housing is not identically furnished; places have different sizes lay-outs and the furniture has been acquired at different points in time.

You are welcome to put in furniture of your own, BUT please note that you are also required to remove it again upon departure - if you do not, the UCPH Housing Foundation will have to remove it on your behalf and forward the bill (easily a few thousand DKK) directly to you.

Bathroom
Each room has a private bathroom.

Kitchen
Each room has a private kitchenette equipped with basic kitchen utensils such as a pot, a pan, cutlery, cups, glasses and plates. The kitchenette has two cooking plates and a small refrigerator.

Common kitchens

On some of the floors there are common kitchens which you are welcome to use. Please make sure you clean up after yourself so it is nice for everyone to use.

From February 1st 2016: The common kitchens will be locked at 10pm. This measure is taken since many tenants unfortunately neglect to comply with the house rules.

Laundry

Laundry facilities are available in the building. Laundry is not included in the rent but should be paid separately.

Short laundry guide: Go into the laundry room and load your card. Press ‘my account’ and see what the user number and password is. When you go online at www.saniva.dk you can log in with these details. If you wish to, you can change the password following. In your account you can add money on your laundry card with a credit card.

Here you can find the more detailed guide to the laundry system and who to call in case of problems.

Internet Connection and TV
An internet connection is available in each room. The UCPH does not provide you with a TV. Internet is included in your rent. For internet support please look here.

By Danish law, everyone who has an internet connection must pay media license. This expense is not included in your rent.

Internet support -TDC Homebox

In this guide you can find information on how you set up your TDC Internet Homebox and how to contact the provider in case of problems.

Please note that you must always contact the TDC Support Center if you experience problems with your internet connection - the UCPH Housing Foundation does not have an IT department and cannot assist you in this matter.

Setting up a wireless connection

As a point of departure your internet connection will always work with a cable. It is also possible to use the Homebox for a wireless connection by using the network name and password written on the back of router. However, the previous user may have changed or locked wireless access data – in these cases, please refer to this guide. It also tells you how you contact the provider TDC Support Center in case you need their help to set up the wireless connection.
