Tietgenkollegiet – University of Copenhagen

Hall of Residence; Tietgenkollegiet

Tietgenkollegiet was ready for the first students to move in at the end of August 2006. Tietgenkollegiet is located in Amager, in an upcoming area with several new student halls and the Amager Campus of University of Copenhagen. You are close to both the inner city and the wonderful new Amager beach with a view to Sweden.

Tietgenkollegiet is highly sought after and there are very few rooms available to the UCPH Housing Foundation. Therefore, very few will be able to reserve a room here.

Deciding whether Tietgenkollegiet is right for you
Tietgenkollegiet is reserved for students. Tietgenkollegiet is a good option for the student who wants a mix of privacy and close contact with other students. Since the residence is quite new, of high quality, and furnished by the residence, you must take on the responsibility of avoiding damages and of keeping a high level of cleanliness.

Important: It is expected of you to take an active participation in the social life at Tietgenkollegiet together with the other residents. The core values of Tietgenkollegiet evolve around a strong sense of community and social interaction between the students. This could include participation in various committees, the organizing of events/parties etc.

If you book a room at Tietgenkollegiet for only one semester you can’t make a shortening offer (because Tietgenkollegiet doesn’t provide housing for short terms)

Our various housing is not identically furnished; places have different sizes lay-outs and the furniture has been acquired at different points in time.

All beds are 105x200cm.

You are welcome to put in furniture of your own, BUT you are also required to remove it again upon departure - if you do not, the UCPH Housing Foundation will have to remove it on your behalf and forward the bill (easily a few thousand DKK) directly to you.

This area is where you and the other students can meet and spend time together. Basic kitchen utensils such as pots, pans, cutlery, cups, glasses and plates are provided.
