Hall of Residence: Tåsingegade Kollegiet

The hall of residence Tåsingegade Kollegiet is situated in the eastern part of Copenhagen at Østerbro, one of the popular residential areas in Copenhagen. Østerbro offers a great variety of parks, cafés and shops. Tåsingegade Kollegiet is close to Østerbrogade, a street with excellent shopping opportunities as well as cafés and Park movie theatre and dance club.

Please note: Tåsingegade Kollegiet is an older building where continuous improvements are going on. Therefore various kinds of construction work are being carried out and shorter breaks in utilities  (electricity, water, etc.) can occur. Currently, we are preparing to make improvements and install new card readers in the laundry room; please be aware that this may result in laundry machines being out of order on certain days.

Deciding whether Tåsingegade kollegiet is right for you
Tåsingegade Kollegiet is reserved for students.

Tåsingegade Kollegiet is a good option for the independent student who wants to have much privacy while still being in close proximity to other students, and who wants to live in one of the mundane areas.
The shared rooms are ideal for the student who wants to keep a low budget and who doesnt have a problem living very closely with a roommate.

Our various housing is not identically furnished; places have different sizes lay-outs and the furniture has been acquired at different points in time.
You are welcome to put in furniture of your own, BUT you are also required to remove it again upon departure - if you do not, the UCPH Housing Foundation will have to remove it on your behalf and forward the bill (easily a few thousand DKK) directly to you.

Each room has a private bathroom.

Each room has a private kitchenette which has two cooking plates and a small refrigerator.

New card readers and other improvements are prepared to be installed at the Tåsingegade Kollegiet laundry room. Please be aware that can result in days where the laundry machines are out of order. The laundry facilities are provided by Saniva. You can find more information in the Residence Handbook (top right of this page). When you are getting ready to leave Copenhagen, write to vaskekort@saniva.dk to ask about getting unspent credit back.

Common Kitchens
To use the stove in the common kitchen area you need to push a button to turn it on. You can then use the stove for 60 minutes. You can push the button again if you require longer cooking time.
The common kitchen on the 2nd floor is locked. It is possible to book the common kitchen for one night/day via agreement with the Residence Assistant. The user of the room must pay a deposit of 1000 DKK to book the common kitchen. The deposit will be returned if the area is left in a clean and satisfactory condition.

Internet Connection and TV
An internet connection is available in each room. The UCPH does not provide you with a TV. Internet is included in your rent.

If you are having connection issues, please email the housing foundation for your DSL number and contact instructions. Once you have these, you must always contact the Telenor Support Center if you experience problems with your internet connection - the UCPH Housing Foundation does not have an IT department and cannot assist you in this matter.Telenor Support Center: 72 12 00 00

By Danish law, everyone who has an internet connection must pay media license. This expense is not included in your rent.
